Strong Rum & Strong Coffee

1 ounce aged white rum

2 ounces Black Blood of the Earth (in this case, Ethiopian)
1/4 ounce sugar cane syrup
4-5 dashes aromatic bitters (here I used Fee Bros.)

Mix rum, coffee, and syrup thoroughly, add ice and bitters, stir

Letting the drink sit for 5-10 minutes allows for full development of flavor.

 

Some Advice for Those Who Imbibe Strong Liquors

It seems that one Master Stross, in visiting with associates in the Colonies, was overtaken by strong drink & did suffer therefrom. In her wisdom, Mistress Spangenberg has provided some advice to prevent others from meeting a similar fate.
